President Mugabe Announces date when he will step down

Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe has hinted that he will step down before the 2018 elections.
Speaking in a BBC documentary “Robert Mugabe @ 90” by film maker Roy Abyemang he said “I have not come up with any conclusion as to which one, really, should be my successor. I leave it to the choice of the people.

Perhaps when we get close to the election, I will have some(one) in mind.”
This has been interpreted as Mugabe’s closest hint that he intends to last only the next four years, and then retire. He would be 94 by then, and there is little chance that he could seek to rule Zimbabwe for a further five years.

At the 34th independence celebrations on Friday, Mugabe struggled with his eyesight while delivering his speech, with the right almost shut as he repeatedly used his hand to clear it. He has often been caught on camera sleeping at international forums and is no longer as visible in the public as in the past.
We wish him more strength and vision as he plans on retirement.

"Half of a Yellow Sun" delayed by Nigeria censors

A film about the Biafran war has been delayed by the Nigerian censors

A Nigerian film titled “Half of a yellow sun” by Nigerian-born British director Biyi Bandele was set to premiere on the cinemas last Friday but due to “regulatory issues” has been delayed.

The film is based on a novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie about the 1967-70 civil war, in which more than a million people.

It has also been reported that some fear the film, which is seen as sympathetic to the Biafran separatist cause, and could be a big stepping stone to the separation establishment of Biafra as a sovereign state.

The Nigeria film board saw the film seven months ago, Mr Bandele said.
"What's frustrating is we have not received a formal letter from the board telling us we've been banned, or that we've not been banned," he added
"One of the reasons Nigeria is more divided today - 40 years after the end of the war - than it was before the war started, is because we have refused to talk about the elephant in the room."

The film “Half of a yellow sun” features Twelve Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and Crash star Thandie Newton.

PSQUARE: Peter gives condition for peace

PSQUARE: Peter gives condition for peace

It has been one week after Jude Okoye, elder brother to singing duo Paul and Peter Okoye (P-Square) posted on twitter that he was ‘done’, this as a result of the constant misunderstanding between the twins, as a result of paul’s wife not being accepted by the family.

Peter reportedly has given condition for peace, saying his wife, Lola, must be accepted and respected by the family or risk total isolation from him.

Our sources have confirmed that this was his only condition for peace.
One insider said: “Peter is tired of the long years he has had to plead with his family to accept the woman he has decided to spend the rest of his life with.
“He wants Lola to be welcomed in the family just as Anita (Paul’s wife) has been accepted irrespective of her tribe or age. This is his condition.”.
“He can no longer endure the ill-affection concerning his wife.”

Sources further said that the crisis had escalated after it was learnt that Peter had allegedly bought a house for Lola in the United States of America, USA.
Sources stated that the twins adore their mother and before she passed on, she had made it clear she was not in support of Peter and Lola’s union.
“Maybe that is why it is difficult for Paul. He does not want to be seen as being completely against the wish of their mother.”

According to the source, “there have been accusations and counter-accusations between Jude and Lola, each alleging that the other is rude and disrespectful.
There has always been a heartwarming tweet from peter saying ‘FOREVER PSQUARE’
This is a big encouragement to every Psquare fan and supporters, the least you can do for them now is to pray for the peace of their family.
